River Opening February 17th 2024.
A selection of photographs from John Szarkiewicz, Ewen Robertson and others of the River Opening held at the Downie Hut.
The first few show people gathering at the Downie Fishing hut. Jamie the Piper leads us to the waters edge where Jim Braithwaite gives the Opening Speech and offers a Toast to the river with a wee dram of Singleton. Ewen Robertson makes the first official cast and the Piper leads us all back for refreshments.
